Grover Pro Percussion combines modern technology with "old world" craftsmanship to produce the finest concert tambourines available.

All of our tambourines provide you the tools for creating dynamic response, articulation and tonal colors needed to sound your absolute best.

Each tambourine features a premium "natural skin" head which is glued and tacked to the traditional Grover solid shell (since 1979!).

Our unique "hand-hammered" jingles are made from one of three special alloys:  
German Silver, Beryllium Copper and Phosphor Bronze. 

These resonant alloys have been developed to produce only the richest, most sonorous sound. Our jingles are mounted in a staggered, "double-row" arrangement so smooth rolls are effortless.

Innovative, dual-sized jingle slots (two different size jingle slots cut into each shell) produce “out-of-phase” jingle motion, facilitating smooth, consistent rolls. Finally, our 100% captive jingle pins guarantee that the jingles will never loosen from the shell.

Grover Custom Dry

Grover Custom Dry tambourines features a truly innovative and unique approach to jingle production. Each alloy jingle is specially hammered on BOTH SIDES versus single side hammering on our Pro Plus models. .The jingles are then heat-treated at high temperature for over one hour to crystallize the metal and realign the molecular structure, which results in a crisp, dry, "crunchy" sonority!

Each model also features the traditional Grover solid shell  with a distinctive beautiful mahogany stain finish.

Quality tambourine heads come from quality hides! We purchase only the finest complete hides available. Our rigorous "inspection and grading" process assures that only premium grade cuts are used for Grover Projection-Plus™ tambourines.

An exclusive "coating" process provides our tambourine heads with a clean, white texture that helps to facilitate thumb rolls and increase  durability. This process further provides a unique moisture-seal which lengthens the overall life of the head.

We take extra time to select and process our heads, and it is our "dedication to quality" that has made the Grover Projection-Plus™ Tambourine the best-selling concert tambourine since 1979!

Tambourine Accessories

Grover Tambourine Bags
Made from water resistant, tear-proof cordura, these bags are padded to protect the head, shell, and jingles. They feature a two-strap carry handle and a heavy duty zipper for fast, easy packing.

Available for 8" (CTB-8), 10" (CTB-10) and 12" (CTB-12) tambourines. A double tambourine bag (DTB) is also available that holds two tambourines at once.

Tambourine Head Replacement Kit
The Grover Tambourine Head Replacement Kit contains a premium skin head (see "The Scoop" above), special mounting band, and instructions. It has everything you need to re-head any tambourine (except glue).

Available for 8" (HK-8), 10" (HK-10) and 12" (HK-12) tambourines.

Mother Grover’s Beeswax
This special family secret for perfect tambourine rolls is now available to you. Wax gathered from the most select bees combined with Mother Grover’s secret recipe makes this an exclusive mix. Easy application requires no heat, just rub on the head before those big moments. (Model TW)

HSH Hammered Super-Harmonic ™Models

Now, you can purchase hammered triangles without spending hundred's of dollars! The result of 2 years R&D, each Grover HSH™ triangle is individually hand made and uniquely hammered. So special are these triangles that we individually number each one with a unique serial number. By combining the use of special bronze and nickel alloys, we are able to further enhance the very highest overtone frequencies. We effectively dampen the fundamentals through a special hammering process, thereby, filtering the lower partials and fundamental. What shines through is a resonant array of high frequency overtones. Available in both 6" and 8" sizes. Made from a very special alloy, each triangle is hammered over the length of all sides.  Due to the strenuous hammering process, only limited quantities of these fine triangles are crafted. Super-Overtone™ Triangles

Our Super-Overtone™ Triangles are the culmination of years of extensive research and experimentation. Each triangle is formed from a specially treated carbon steel alloy. The resulting wide spectrum of overtones coupled with an extraordinary large dynamic range combine to give this triangle its characteristic sound.

Unlike most triangles, the overtone resonance of this instrument will remain consistent throughout the expanded dynamic range. Abundant acoustic energy is produced by this instrument, eliminating the need to overplay. The microscopic Kanigen™ plating allows the highest harmonics to respond, yet it is more durable and longer lasting than ordinary chrome plating. The Super-Overtone™ Triangle is available in two sizes:

Model TR-6
(6" triangle) It features a higher fundamental tone while retaining predominant overtones. This model produces a lighter sound than its larger companion.

Model TR-9
(9" triangle) Its large internal working area facilitates execution of the most difficult passages. The TR-9 is has a full, rich sound.

Bronze Pro Triangles

Manufactured in our factory using a special cymbal alloy, these triangles are great for students, as well as professionals who want to add a lighter sound color to their collection. These “golden” bronze triangles are unique in appearance and are very resonant.

Triangle Accessories

Dual Triangle Mount

The Dual Triangle Mount allows you to mount your triangles from any standard cymbal stand. The versatile side-arm extension enables you to mount any triangle (from 4" to 10") in a vertical or horizontal configuration. The vertical configuration allows you to mount two triangles at once! The exclusive “nodal” suspension system allows maximum resonance from your triangles. The DTM is perfect for orchestras, trap players or multi-percussion set-ups. (Model DTM)

Pro Triangle Clip
Our Pro Triangle Clip is manufactured from New England hardwood for its strength and light weight. The easy action spring allows the player to open the clip with one hand (unlike bulky steel clips), so the triangle may be removed and clipped to a stand using only the holding hand. Our exclusive “nodal” suspension system allows maximum resonance from your triangle. In addition, we have secured a second line to act as a “safety” line. (Model PTC)

Grover Triangle Bags

Alloy 303™ Triangle Beaters

After years of research and testing we’ve developed a traditional style triangle beater that produces a rich, full sonority with minimal contact sound.

Alloy 303™ triangle beaters are extra long (8.9”) and are available in six sizes and weights. Each comes with a special plastic coated handle for positive gripping and is color coded for quick identification.

Tubular Triangle Beaters

These contemporary style beaters feature a tubular beater face, isolated from a core shaft using a special rubber compound. Each beater features a comfortable, black latex handle (identical in diameter and coupled to the beater face). Due to the increased weight of the beater face, these beaters produce a great array of spectral overtones from triangles. Manufactured, one at a time, using our Alloy 303™.

Projection-Plus™ Snare Drums

Our Projection-Plus™ concert snare drums now feature: the Grover Piston Strainer (with GIS Indexing), "low mass" tube lugs (standard), extended "non-spiral" snare wires, and the Grover Snare Outrigger System with five-point micro-fine tuning adjustment.

10-Ply Maple Shells
Our Maple Series features 10-ply shells, constructed from cross-grained New England Maple. We hand-pick only the finest Maple shells, offering a traditional warm tone and superior resonance. 

SOLID Steam Bent Maple Shells
Our solid maple shells are painstakingly constructed here in New England using sugar maple. These shells are a full 3/8" thick, so strong and solid that they do not require reinforcing rings, thus allowing unobstructed sound transfer inside the shell.

In addition, as the "flagship" of the Grover line, our solid shell models come equipped with die cast hoops, finished in exquisite black nickel and a premium orchestral quality natural skin batter head.

Precision DNC Bearing Edges

Utilizing automated DNC technology, Grover machines all bearing edges and snare beds to extremely close tolerances, resulting in optimal drumhead vibration and drum shell resonance. DNC technology measures the density and depth of each drum shell and machines a custom bearing edge and snare bed accordingly. This custom process results in precise drumhead seating, easy tuning and a consistent attack and decay across a wide dynamic range. A final "hand-sanding" process assures a silky smooth finish.

Low Mass Tube Lugs
The close tolerance of DNC technology assures perfect placement of all mounting holes. All hardware fits tightly with no air leakage. Our nodal venting system places a unique Air Dispersion Vent (ADV) at the shell's minimal vibration point. This allows for a faster transient attack while the multiple ports precisely focus and contain air dispersion to maximize the drum's decay.

Our new "low mass" tube lugs reduce mass loading on the shell circumference, enhancing shell resonance and sensitivity. Minimal "shell-to-lug" contact allows the drum to vibrate freely while our 2.3mm super hoops provide dependable, consistent tensioning without choking or altering the drum's sound.
 

Piston Strainer 
One of the greatest features of the Projection-Plus™ snare drum is the Piston Strainer and Snare Outrigger System. This system features a 5-point adjustment feature that lets you tension the snares both laterally and vertically. 

We adjust each drum to factory specs to insure maximum articulation and the ultimate in snare sensitivity. The Piston Strainer is the quietest, smoothest, strainer ever made! Our GIS Indexing System allows you to note your strainer settings for consistency, or in case you need to change settings during a performance.

The Finish 
All Maple drums feature an elegant, 10 coat, hand rubbed, lacquer finish. Available in Rich Walnut, Natural Maple, Deep Mahogany or Charcoal Ebony.

Concert Bass Drum

Our Model BD-1 bass drum features an 18x36”, 10 ply, New England maple shell, solid maple counter-hoops and our 10-coat crystal clear lacquer finish. The BD-1 utilizes 14 tuning lugs on each side, which is more than any other bass drum in its class. This enables more precise, even tuning of low fundamental sonorities. We cut our special bearing edges to maximize low frequency response across the large dynamic range. The BD-1 can be supplied with either key rods or T rods and comes standard with Remo Rennaissance heads.

New England Rock Maple Wood Blocks

Our wood blocks produce clear, full woodblock sonorities. An extra wide shoulder means easy playing with either drumstick or mallet. Handmade from super hard, New England rock maple. 

Available in a four pitches/sizes.

 

Grover Rock Maple Wood Blocks are retrofitted with an exclusive mounting system that allows you to fasten your wood block from any traditional cymbal stand, l-rod or multi-percussion rack. 

Our unique system allows you to mount your Grover wood block from either side and includes a thumb screw for easy set up.
